At 7Seas Logistics we specialise in solving our customers transportation and logistics problems. We are dedicated to pursuing the best deals for customers needing to reposition empty containers, either locally or globally. Repositioning equipment empty provides the benefit of direct shipment to get containers to demand locations fast.
We offer a global repositioning service, predominantly of tanks, reefers, other specials and dry freight, sourcing either empty capacity on vessels, or chartering ships, with the single aim of providing our customers with rapid-transit and cost-effective empty container movements. Most of our business comprises either the repositioning of surplus equipment from low demand regions, or delivering new equipment, mostly reefers, tanks, and other specialised equipment, from factory to point of first use. Although we specialise in empty containers, we are also experienced in moving loaded units.
We negotiate repositioning rates for any parcel of containers and we use our extensive experience and technical knowledge to carefully select suitable providers from our worldwide contacts and key suppliers who we know can meet our customers demands.
What we move, who for and how we do it
Our operation
Typically we reposition in excess of 30,000 TEU every year, between 450 port-parings in more than 100 countries. We are a truly global operation.
We primarily operate to the global hubs and in the major trade lanes as well as to the smaller islands around the world such as the South Pacific, Indian Ocean and Caribbean islands and also deliver equipment to remote inland locations demanded by the oil industry and other sectors.
We can tailor our offer to suit individual customer needs, providing a focus on real customer service, with outstanding levels of on-time arrival, equipment condition and availability. In addition to shipping the empty containers we can arrange pre-carriage from any facility including factories, container yards, depots through to any facility at a final destination.
Our senior operational executives are Nick Maybour, Steve Ker and Jeremy Masters; between them, they have vast and varied experience in the shipping industry. As well as our offices in UK and Hong Kong, we have agents in Australia, South Africa, USA and Central and South America.
We are members of British International Freight Association and operate on BIFA’s standard trading conditions.
